150 photographs from the artist’s personal digital archive of daily snapshots documenting his life will be projected for one minute each, totalling two and a half hours. The archive was made with various digital cameras since the early 2000s. After the photographs are projected the files will be permanently deleted. The title refers to Hollis Frampton’s film Nostalgia (1971). This is an ongoing work until the archive has been fully depleted. Usually shown in exhibition formats, this is the first time the work will be screened. For this screening, Horvitz is inviting only one person to watch in 30-minute segments. There are five 30 minute segments available:
Slot 1 4:00-4:30 PM
Slot 2 4:30-5:00 PM
Slot 3 5:00-5:30 PM
Slot 4 5:30-6:00 PM
Slot 5 6:00-6:30 PM
RSVP here with your two preferred slots.
This work has been exhibited at SMAK, Ghent, Belgium; La Criee, Rennes, France; ChertLüdde, Berlin, Germany; Tongewölbe T25, Ingolstadt, Germany.
