This Art Life Practice workshop is for parents and children who want to learn and and create together! Inspired by experimental abstract expressionist artist Helen Frankenthaler, this workshop will explore Color Field Painting. Parents and children ages 5+ will work with liquid watercolors and movement to create color field paintings while enriching their understanding of the properties of color in painting. This is a unique opportunity to learn about and create art alongside your child – get a bit messy together and have fun!
Over the course of the workshop you and your child will:
> Learn about Helen Frankenthaler
> Gain an understanding of abstraction and the color
> Learn about action painting
> Create multiple watercolor paintings
The workshop ticket price includes all materials, snacks, and beverages for one guardian and child. If you’d like to bring more than one child please purchase an ‘Additional Child ‘ ticket as well.
